This is my favorite yarn shop in Portland!  The Staff is incredible - they will help you any time you ask and are so patient.  No question is too stupid.  Last time I went in there a really nice woman who worked there helped me measure myself and was a great sounding board for ideas about my project.  The coffee shop is not to be missed - the food is good and they serve Stumptown, but without the attitude you get from most places that serve Stumptown. The man in my life can even tolerate going there because they have free wi-fi!  There is also a play area for the kids, and the staff has also explained to kids about about the different types of yarn. The people who hang out there all seem to be doing interestng projects rather than (time for snarky comment)”knitting a scarf for their boyfriend” or working on the same hat for 6 months.   They also offer spinning and all the usual classes, books, and other items to take your hard earned cash.
